"I know, I know it's great, ain't it?" Chris proclaimed as he showed off his brand new car to a surprised Jonny who's eyes couldn't be drawn away from the contraption which was in front of him.
"This is used, right?" Jonny asked, his eyes still fixated on the yellow car.
"No, it's brand new" Chris replied to which Jonny replied with a fit of laughter.
"If you are going to be like this Jonny, you might not get a spin in the car!" Chris said, actually quite hurt by the noise of laughter which came from Jonny.
"I'm alright, thanks" Jonny replied, trying to hold back laughter, but every few seconds it seemed to seep out.
Chris sighed but tried to be reasonable. "Look, Jonny, I'm not going to be mad but what exactly do you not like about it?"
"To start with, it's yellow!" Jonny proclaimed. Chris didn't look happy.
"I like yellow" he murmered, like a child.
"And, well, it's a girls car!" Jonny said, being careful where he stood.
Chris thought of a brilliant comeback involving Jonny and womens clothes but decided not to say it. It was a something that Chris should not know, and it wasn't the time or the place to bring it up. "Okay" Chris said, smiling. Jonny sighed and looked up at Chris.
"Chris" Jonny said as Chris turned away to walk towards the car. "I'd love to go for a spin in the car"
Chris' face lit up so much, it looked like he was going to blow a fuse. In a good way. Chris opened the passengers door and let Jonny in.
"You won't regret it, Jonny!" Chris said, very happy before running around to the drivers side and starting to drive off.
"So where are we going exactly?" Jonny asked. Chris didn't answer, there were two possible reasons for this; 1) He ignored him or 2) Chris didn't hear Jonny for the sound of Coldplay records in the car's CD player. That was one thing about Chris, he loved the sound of his own voice. If the outcome of the no answer from Chris was indeed number 1, Jonny had thought of the perfect comeback; I'm surprised a car like this even has a CD player. Jonny smiled at the thought of saying it but realised that it wasn't the time or the place, Jonny decided to ask his question again.
"Where are we going, Chris?" Jonny asked, a bit louder than last time. Chris made a quick movement and Jonny noticed that the car doors were now locked. "Chris, what are you doing?"
Chris turned the volume of the CD player down and looked over to Jonny.
"Jonny, my dear boy, we are going on a road trip!" Chris proclaimed. Jonny's eyes widened and he reached for the car door, trying to open the door. It wasn't budging.
"Chris, Chris, please, don't!" Jonny exclaimed.
"We already are Jonny boy, prepare for the greatest journey of your life, it's going to be a wild ride, a wild, wild ride!" Chris proclaimed, smiling as he sped down the motorway.
